General Information About Shimla Manali
Shimla is the capital of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan foothills. Once the summer capital of British India, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed in 1903. It’s also known for the handicraft shops that line The Mall, a pedestrian avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar, a market specializing in wooden toys and crafts.
Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan resort town in India’s northern Himachal Pradesh state. It has a reputation as a backpacking center and honeymoon destination. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. It's also a jumping-off point for paragliding, rafting and mountaineering in the Pir Panjal mountains, home to 4,000m-high Rohtang Pass.
DAY 01: - DELHI – SHIMLA (350 Kms/09 hrs)
Drive from Delhi to Shimla arrive at Shimla. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at Shimla
DAY 02: - SHIMLA - KUFRI - SHIMLA (Approx 32 Kms)
After Breakfast Excursion to Kufri. Kufri is famous for its Himalayan National Park, Poney and Yak Ride (Extra cost) and One can see the endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri, sight seeing of various places in and around. Shimla Vice regal Lodge built in (1885),Jakhu Temple,The Scandal Point and The famous Shopping Plaza of the North The Mall. O/N Hotel at SHIMLA.
DAY 03: - SHIMLA - MANALI (260 Kms)
Drive from Shimla to Manali (280 kms . 10 hrs) Arrive Manali Transfer to hotel. Dinner and Overnight at hotel.
DAY 04: - MANALI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
Walk through town visiting newly constructed Buddhist Monastery. Hadimba Devi temple-It is small temple situated in the dense forest is very interesting .Hadimba is said to be the wife of Bhima from the epic of Mahabharata. Vashist, it is an extremely picturesque little place clinging to the steep hill side. On the way up to the village you come upon the Vashist hot baths where a natural sulphar spring is piped into a modern bath -house. Dinner and Overnight at Manali.
DAY 05: - MANALI
Full day tour of Rohtang Pass – The majesty of the mountains and the glaciers can be seen at their best, you have next two hours to enjoy this snowy haven( subject to road and weather conditions & Rohtang pass is closed every Tuesday). Take a sledge ride down the slopes, try your luck climbing the little snow hills. On your descents to Manali, halt at the Rahalla falls and Solang Valley. The Magnificent views and natural beauty are a never-ending source of delight. Also halt at Marhi, Ralha falls, Nehru Kund. Return to the hotel for Overnight stay at Manali. ( Visit to Rohtang Pass Subject to permit permission on NGT Condition ) Every Tuesday Rohtang Pass closed & Rohtang Pass is not included in the cost – guest has to higher the cab at own cost)
DAY 06: - MANALI
After breakfast check out the hotel and drive to DELHI & drop the same.
